MITx Electricity and Magnetism

Here is an additional course recently added to the list of free courses offered by edX: Electricity and Magnetism MITx 8.02x which is the 2nd semester of the MIT introduction to physics sequence.

8.02x

The course starts Feb. 18th 2013 and it covers topics like electric fields, magnetic fields, electromagnetic forces, conductors and dielectrics, electromagnetic waves, and the nature of light, as well as topics like why is the sky blue, lightning, magnetic levitation, Aurora Borealis, and particle accelerators. I am not sure if I will have the time to take this course. However, if you are interested I would strongly recommend that you take the class. The class will be taught by the legendary Professor Walter Lewin who has taught at MIT for 47 years. I have watched many of his lectures online and I highly recommend him. His enthusiasm and demonstrations make physics very enjoyable and interesting.

According to Professor Lewin, “If you take this course, your life will never be the same”. Watch this clip for more information.
